The Winnipeg Jets made a blockbuster deal this summer to send star center Pierre-Luc Dubois to Hollywood after a stint in Winnipeg, and now, the 25-year old returns to Winnipeg for the first time since that deal.

A special game

While Dubois is well aware that his departure has left him with plenty of ill will from the Jets fans, he's also looking forward to this game, revealing how special it will be to him.
It will be special, I'm sure. I'm sure some fans will see it a little differently, but for me personally it will be special. I spent three great years in Winnipeg. My parents are going to be at the game. To play against some teammates and friends that I have from Winnipeg, it'll be a special game.

It's so early on into the season, it feels like not that far. It happened yesterday, it feels like, but, yeah, special game.

In three years with the Jets, Dubois tallied 63 goals and 143 points in 195 games, but like we've seen before, it appeared as though the young star didn't want to play in Winnipeg, despite the solid success this team found during his tenure.

A blockbuster deal

After reports that the six year NHL veteran wanted out of Winnipeg, the Kings made it clear very quickly that they wanted to land the young star, and even gave up quite the haul to do so, sending Gabriel Vilardi, Alex Iafollo and Rasmus Kupari to Winnipeg in the deal.
However, many boo's are expected in his return to the Jets, as many fans didn't like the way he went about his final moments in Winnipeg, so it's safe to say this should be a very fiery game on both sides of the puck.
