The Winnipeg Jets have made history with their recent streak of success, marking them as one of the best defensive teams in recent history, check out which stat below!

Winnipeg Jets Make History For Goals Against After String Of Success

The Winnipeg Jets are having an incredible run right now, catapulting them to the top of the Western Conference. Their full ice game has been the main contributor to the success, as they are on an incredible run of holding teams to 2 goals or less, a streak they have held since December 20th.
That streak has made history for the team, as it is one of the longest in NHL history past 1929.
The @NHLJets allowed two goals against or fewer for a 13th straight game dating to Dec. 20 and extended one of the longest runs by an NHL team since 1929-30 (when forward passing was permitted inside all three zones). ✈️

Jets Emerging as Frontrunner for Stanley Cup

The Jets are hitting their stride at what seems like the perfect point of the season, with enough time to keep them at the top of the standings for a nice playoff matchup. Their stats speak for themselves, getting top marks in nearly every category. Their complete game is what makes them a favourite for the Cup this year.

This all comes in a season that started with a number of question marks around the team. With rumours about Mark Scheifele and Connor Hellebuyck being put to rest with their extensions, the Jets have started to click as a unit as this season has progressed. We will see if they are able to continue the hot streak for the rest of the year, and into the playoffs.
