The Winnipeg Jets have been heavily featured in trade rumours this off-season, but after moving Pierre-Luc Dubois to Los Angeles, they've been fairly quiet on that front, finalizing the roster they believe can get them back to the playoffs in 2023-24.

A blue line log jam

While the forward group has plenty of questions about their depth of talent, it's the blue line that is shaping up to be a major threat ahead of the season, with great depth and talent throughout.
At this point, it appears the group of Josh Morrisey, Dylan DeMelo, Brenden Dillon, Neal Pionk, Dylan Samberg and Nate Schmidt are locked into starting roles, but what about the rest of the group?

Likely Missing out

Many teams around the league would be thrilled with that group, but if that is their starting lineup, the Jets will be making some tough decisions, as this would mean leaving out four names in Logan Stanley, Ville Heinola, Declan Chisholm and Kyle Capobianco.
For a team that struggled down the stretch last season, depth is a great thing to have, but with so many names on the blue line, could we be looking at another move from this group to bolster the forwards?
At this point, it's unknown, but this is a team with high hopes for 2023-24, and if a bounce back year is on the way, the blue line could be leading them in the tough Central division.
