Philadelphia Flyers $33 million forward Travis Konecny has been involved in many trade rumors recently, and has now been linked to the Jets for Rutger McGroarty.

The Flyers have a big decision to make regarding Travis Konecny. They need to decide if they will re-sign him after his contract ends next season, or trade him. The Jets, on the other hand, are dealing with a disgruntled McGroarty who has publicly stated he has no desire to remain in Winnipeg long-term. A mock trade has now been circulating online where the Flyers would acquire McGroarty, in exchange for Konecny (Flyers retain 50% salary), Scott Laughton and a second round pick.
Flyers would send Konecny out West in intriguing proposed trade
McGroarty has been known to have tons of potential, but has been unable to flourish in Winnipeg, and the Jets have had enough of his attitude problems. The Flyers, who are in desperate need of a cap dump, would come out ahead here too. It's a win-win scenario for both teams. Konecny has also been at the center of trade speculations for quite some time now.
The Philadelphia Flyers do not want to trade Travis Konecny but will if the right offer comes along.

Could a team try to pry the former all-star from the Flyers?

McGroarty is unhappy, and Konecny wants a raise that the Flyers can't afford. Swapping both players here seems like a no-brainer.
