Surprising name atop the NHL top selling jerseys list

From the moment the 2022/23 NHL season concluded, the NHL made it their mission to market upcoming No. 1 overall pick Connor Bedard as the potentially generational star his talent showed he could be. Fortunately for the league, he ended up with an iconic Original Six team, which many believe to be one of the best jersey's in the NHL, and now, it has been confirmed just how popular the young star has become.

According to a report, Bedard tops the list of best selling jersey's from this past NHL season, beating out proven, veteran stars like Artemi Panarin and Auston Matthews, while two other surprise names in Jack Hughes and Mika Zibanejad find their way into the top-5. This shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone given the marketing push that the NHL gave him, and during his Calder Trophy winning season, he was absolutely electric on the ice.

With more young talent coming into the league every year, the future of the NHL continues to be incredibly bright, and after this paid off in jersey sales, expect the NHL to push hard for the likes of Macklin Celebrini heading into the 2024/25 regular season.
