Winnipeg Jets release full lineup for tonight's game and there's quite the surprise

The Winnipeg Jets take on the Edmonton Oilers Wednesday night at Canada Life Centre in their second home game of the preseason. The Jets are looking to keep the momentum going after a hot start to the exhibition schedule, while Edmonton will ice a younger, less experienced lineup.

The Winnipeg roster will likely be a mix of both veterans and younger players who work out the combinations in hopes of getting a proper fit before the start of the regular season. Meanwhile, Edmonton is going to use this preseason game as an opportunity to assess some of the prospects and let their shiny rising stars take some of the time on the ice. The Oilers are going to hold back some of their big guns like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl while developing some of their depth.

In a surprising twist, expect Kahkonen to go the full 60 minutes as the Jets coaching staff will want a good look at him. He's locked in a battle with Eric Comrie for that backup spot; thus, this game becomes crucial in his aspirations.
