The Winnipeg Jets are nearing yet another exciting season, and with the regular season approaching, they've had to make a huge string of cuts.

This off-season has been a crucial one for Winnipeg, and with the team bringing in so much depth and competition during training camp, it was only a matter of time until they had to make some changes. On Tuesday, plenty of those became official, as the team announced 12 cuts in the following order.
Of the 12 players, 8 were assigned to either their junior team or the Manitoba Moose of the AHL, with the following four players being officially released from professional tryouts.
D Dylan Anhorn
D Dawson Barteaux
D Ashton Sautner
F Ben King

None of these moves are surprising to Jets fans, as the lineup hasn't changed much since the beginning of training camp, with the team looking very similar to the way it did a year ago, as no one quite pushed their way into a spot over the past week. This is both good and bad news for the Jets, as it shows they may not have the depth that they hoped for, but shows that the lineup they put together at the NHL level may be the one that helps them push for a deep Stanley Cup Playoffs run in 2024/25.
This move comes just one day after the team finally came to terms on a deal with rising star Cole Perfetti, who has been holding out for the majority of the off-season thus far, and with the regular season just a few weeks away, things are shaping up nicely. With some solid talents in the AHL and throughout the junior ranks, this team still has optimism that the future can be as good as the present, and after making the postseason a year ago, this organization believes this lineup with the few off-season tweaks can take a step forward this season.
