After an incredible season, the Winnipeg Jets came up short in the playoffs again this year in what looked to be the most promising season in recent history. Now, it looks like they are already gearing up for major changes.
The Winnipeg Jets looked poised to make a huge statement this post-season after a rocky offseason nearly a year ago. They proved everyone wrong during the regular season, having an incredible year that landed them second in their division. However, that wasn't enough to escape the skilled Colorado Avalanche, who would go on to eliminate them despite their home-ice advantage.
Ehlers had a somewhat disappointing playoff performance this year, posting just 2 assists in 5 games played. He had 61 points in 82 games played this regular season, but more impressively was a plus 27 rating. Ehlers is entering the final year of his contract with the Jets, and is due for an extension. However, it appears they might not be looking to sign him.
