Former First Round Pick Has Contract Terminated Over Disagreement

Today a former NHL Draft first round pick has found himself looking for a new home. This comes after a disagreement between the player and his team.
New reports have come out that Quinton Howden has terminated his contract with Vasterviks IK of Allsvenskan in Sweden.
Quinton Howden is leaving Västerviks IK just two months after signing a contract with the second tier Swedish club.
The 31-year-old Olympic bronze medalist reportedly did not agree with management on how he should be deployed." Hockey Worldwide on Instagram said.
Howden was reportedly upset with how he was going to be used on his new team.

Howden's NHL career was a turbulent one after being selected in the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft.
He spent the first 6 years of his career fighting for a spot on the Florida Panthers roster. His best season in Florida he played 58 games and had 11 points.
Then he took his talents to Winnipeg where he spent his final season in North America playing mostly in the AHL. After this Howden decided to head to Europe
Howden has spent the back half of his career traveling the world. He has spent time in 6 different countries over the last 5 seasons.
He will now be looking for a new team going forward.
