An unusual incident happened last Friday night during an ECHL game between the Adirondack Thunder and the Newfoundland Growlers.

Player Attacks Ref During Game Gets Banned Indefinitely

The Thunder's player Zach Walker was involved in an altercation with a referee on Friday night.
It appears that Walker was going to the penalty box and made a physical contact with the linesman.
After the play, Walker got ejected from the game and has been suspended indefinitely while the Department of Player Safety reviews the incident.
"Zach Walker of Adirondack has been suspended indefinitely pending a review, due to his actions in Friday's game vs. Newfoundland.

Walker will miss games tonight and tomorrow, and any further discipline will be announced next week."
His teammate, Sebastian Vidmar, got suspended three games earlier in the season for the same reason.
However, Walker's aggression falls under the rule 40.2, where an automatic 20-game suspension is issued if the hearing finds him guilty.
Updates will follow.
