Western Canada Heavyweights Drop The Gloves
In what was Wednesday night's season opener for both the Canucks and the Oilers, each team has players willing to make a scene in order to make a name for themselves.
Those players were Vincent Desharnais of the Oilers and Dakota Joshua of the Canucks. Both are young players still trying to establish themselves in the NHL and both have been known to drop the gloves in the past. Tonight, they gave us a real show with a very solid and lengthy fight on the ice.
In the end, Desharnais clearly won the fight, but Joshua put up a respectable effort.
