TJ Oshie is a longtime NHL veteran and he does not have a problem with welcoming the youth to the league.

In a preseason game between the Blue Jackets and the Capitals, TJ Oshie took a run at 2023 3rd overall pick Adam Fantilli.

Fantilli was obviously not expecting Oshie to go all out on that hit but Oshie did not let up despite it being only preseason.
The two also went to rival schools over a decade apart with Oshie attending North Dakota and Fantilli attending Michigan so that certainly could have been a factor behind the hit.
At the end of the day, if Fantilli wants to stay healthy in the NHL, he will need to embrace the physicality the vets bring.
