It is now being reported that one Canadiens winger may be on the trade block once again after being called up from the American league.

Armia May Be On His Way Out Of Montreal

Armia was heavily involved in trade rumors last summer but the Canadiens were unable to move him, presumably due to his 3.4 million dollar cap hit. The winger was sent down to the AHL at the beginning of the year and cleared waivers in the process. Now the team has reportedly started trying to trade him again.
The #GoHabsGo have recalled Joel Armia from the AHL. They tried trading him in the off-season, and word is they re-engaged in trade talks this week. We'll see if any traction is gained. He's got another year left on his deal at a $3.4M cap hit.

Armia Earns Call Up

While the team may have ulterior motives for calling up Armia, the 30-year-old has been off to a hot start in the AHL, earning an honest call up after putting up 4 goals and 5 points in 4 games with Laval. The team will now likely put him in a position to showcase his skills for potential trade partners.
a little bit of Joel Armia and a little bit of Mario Armia for the Rocket tonight..
