Controversial forward Nick Cousins, who some consider one of the dirtiest players in the NHL today, has signed a one-year deal with the Ottawa Senators

He is one of the most controversial players in today's NHL, and he now has a new contract fresh off of winning the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers. Nick Cousins has reportedly signed a one-year deal with the Ottawa Senators.
"That's a rat.

This is a trend with [Cousins] and he has done this numerous amount of times. Ramming a guy's head into the boards there is no place in the game for this."
There seemed to be a lot of support from fans for Bieksa's comments, as many had noticed the same things happening when it came to Nick Cousins. He will certainly add some grit, and perhaps even a bit of offense for the Ottawa Senators. At the same time, his teammates will likely need to be prepared to come to his defense at some point during the season. That's unless Cousins has turned his game around since the comments. Cousins played 69 games for the Florida Panthers in 2023-24, scoring 7 goals and 15 points. He took part in another 12 games in the Panthers postseason run to the Stanley Cup, netting an assist.
