The founder of 200 Foot Hockey and 200 Foot Coaching leader in Hockey Technology, Andrew Brewer, believes that the MLH is offering tryout camps, however you must pay to join, and if you finally do end up making a team, you will only receive half of what you paid back as reimbursement.
This new hockey league claims to have a salary cap of $30 million right off the bat, and says that former NHL players will be the coaches of every team that will play in the MLH. They also claim that there will be a wide variety of talent that includes players from entry levels to ex-professionals who have a very good resume, as well as ex-NHLers. At this point, this whole situation seems very comical.
Despite the fact that they are collecting money from individuals to join and claim that their inaugural season is set to begin in November, fans are still calling it a scam. It is very shocking that they remain open at this point as no one is taking them seriously. It will be interesting to see how long a league that requires its members to join and claims to be paying them millions will remain open. This whole operation seems like one giant scam.
