Get ready because the NHL just dropped the schedule for the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and the Vancouver Canucks are gearing up to take on the Edmonton Oilers starting on Wednesday, May 8th.

It's a big moment for the Canucks as they haven't made it past the first round in four long years, and that's even longer when you consider the COVID-shortened season we had in 2019-20, which saw the playoffs transpire in the bubble.
This showdown promises some spirited action as Quinn Hughes and the Canucks go head-to-head with Connor McDavid's Oilers. It's an all-Canadian battle for the Pacific division that's sure to have fans on the edge of their seats. It's also the first meeting between the franchises in 32 years. Also, with neither team having hoisted the Stanley Cup since way back in the '90s, and these two being Canada's last hope to break the 31-year drought for a cup, the stakes are high.
Vancouver's entering this series after taking down the Nashville Predators in six games, thanks in part to rookie sensation Artur Silovs' stellar play in net. Meanwhile, the Oilers ran roughshod over the Los Angeles Kings for a third straight year, this time in five games. All the games will be streamed on Sportsnet and TNT/ESPN.
