This morning the Vancouver Canucks have received word that two of their players will face discipline for a sequence of hits on Connor McDavid. One of those players is Nikita Zadorov who has already learned his fate.

After the final whistle of last night's contest between the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers things got chippy. Canucks defensemen Carson Soucy and Nikita Zadorov decided to set the tone for the next game and both cross check Connor McDavid.
Nikita Zadorov comes in with the first cross-check to Connor McDavid's back. Then Carson Soucy does the same but to the face of the Oilers star. Today reports have confirmed that Nikita Zadorov has been given a major fine by the NHL for his role in the incident.
Nikita Zadorov has been fined $5,000 for cross-checking Connor McDavid at the end of Game 3.
In addition, his defense partner Carson Soucy will now have a phone hearing and face a potential suspension for his part in the dirty play.
Phone hearing for #Canucks Carson Soucy and a $5,000 fine for Nikita Zadorov.
If Carson Soucy ends up being suspended by the NHL this needless play by the Canucks defensemen could end up changing the course of the entire series.
