Toronto Maple Leafs performance coach Greg Harden has sadly passed away at the age of 75.

Harden had worked with the Leafs since the beginning of the 2021-2022 NHL season, and was brought in to help a mentally weak Leafs roster that had just blown a 3-1 series lead to their longtime rival Montreal Canadiens.
Harden also worked as an athletic administrator at the University of Michigan, where he helped mold NFL legend Tom Brady into a legend. According to UoM on twitter, Harden passed away after having complications on a surgery he recently received.
The Maple Leafs released the following statement on X after learning of Harden's passing.
Harden was very good at what he did, and in addition to working with the Maple Leafs and Tom Brady, he also worked with superstar athlete Michael Phelps, and renowned Football coach Jim Harbaugh.
While Sheldon Keefe is no longer the bench boss in Toronto, while he was with the team he had some very high praise for Harden.
«You don't really hire somebody like Greg. He decides whether or not he wants to come work with you and we were fortunate he decided to join us.»

- Former Leafs Coach Sheldon Keefe on Greg Harden
