A recent rumor has been circulating online that the Detroit Red Wings and Washington Capitals are looking at this San Jose Sharks' forward in a potential trade.
Detroit Red Wings and Washington Capitals Looking at Sharks' Duclair in Potential Trade
As the NHL season progresses, the landscape of who is becoming a contender and whose season is becoming a wash is becoming more clear. The San Jose Sharks are falling into the latter.
It's highly likely that the Sharks will become a seller at the trade deadline, looking to dump their assets at a potential chance for a rebuild. One of these assets includes Anthony Duclair.
Duclair's $3 Million AAV is attractive for many teams, and coupled with his past strong performances could land the Sharks a nice return.
Detroit and Washington Rumored to Be Interested in Duclair
Two of those teams that Duclair could land on are the Detroit Red Wings and Washington Captials. Both teams are potential playoff teams that need to add some scoring depth.
Duclair fits that perfectly, as he has incredible offensive IQ and can play on the powerplay. While he currently only has 5 points in 15 games, that number is likely to go up for another team, given the Sharks' struggles.
San Jose goal!
