Boston has been lucky to have two superstar goaltenders Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman. Yet, with the team looking to build up more skater depth, the older of the two may be on their way out. Fans have already started saying goodbye to the veteran Bruin on social media.
Linus Ullmakr has been targeted by several NHL teams since his name was dropped as a trade target. Among the most prominent of these was the Ottawa Senators, who he said he may waive his no-trade clause for.
Now, after a near-loss earlier this year, Bruins fans can likely expect these latest goodbyes to Ullmark to be final. The goaltender has officially waived his no-trade clause for the Ottawa Senators.
Though no official trade has been announced, waiving his clause for the Ottawa Senators sends a pretty clear message. Hopefully whoever Boston gets is a fair trade, otherwise, they could be out of another chance at next year's Stanley Cup.
