The Edmonton Oilers are in serious trouble. After losing to the San Jose Sharks last night they now find themselves tied with the historically bad club in points. The oilers remain ahead of the Sharks in the standings based on point percentage. Now the team is reportedly attempting to make a major move to save their season.

Oilers Pursuing Bruins Goaltender Swayman

It is no secret that the Oilers goaltending has been a key area of weakness so far this season. Jack Campbell was just waived and sent to the AHL despite just signing a four-year 20 million dollar contract last offseason and Stuart Skinner has not been much better. NHL insider Kevin Weeks is proposing the team trades for Boston's Jeremy Swayman.
"I would pay the moon, the stars, the sun, I'd even bring in one of the three wise men, throw them in the deal to be able to get Jeremy Swayman from Boston."
The Oilers have been linked to Swayman in the past as general manager Ken Holland reportedly inquired about both of Boston's goalies this past offseason.

Edmonton Oilers Desperate For Goaltender Solution

The team has also been involved in trade talks involving other teams in recent days. Insider Elliotte Friedman reported yesterday that the team had talked with the Canadiens about Jake Allen while also throwing out other names like Jordan Binnington and even Jusse Saros as options for the orange and blue.
Regardless, the team must make a significant move immediately. They are currently wasting both McDavid and Draisaitl's prime years. At this point, who knows how much longer they're going to be able to put up with this failure.
