It is unclear as to why Slavick was put on the Swedish team, however many are assuming it was due to a last minute emergency with one of the Swedish goalies. Slavick didn't start the game, but he was put on the roster as a backup to Sweden's main goalie Olof Glifford.

Sweden got completely crushed by USA in this one, with the final score of the game ending 7-2 for the Americans.
It doesn't appear that Slavick was put in at all for this one, however it was no doubt a memorable experience that he will remember forever.
