Insider Confirms Four New Teams That Have Been Linked To Patrick Kane
Patrick Kane has generated a lot of interest league-wide and we now know four new teams who have been targeting him.
Kane Linked To Four New Teams
Despite coming off a down year, Patrick Kane still managed to find himself as one of the top free agents on the market. While he remains unsigned, which is his choice, he still has many teams vying for his services.
Insider David Pagnotta recently revealed four news teams interested in Kane.
The Avalanche, Stars, Islanders, and Bruins are all new names linked to Kane but it is not surprising that they are targeting him considering what he brings offensively.
While these four teams are all possibilities for Kane, it is likely not where he will land. The frontrunner for Kane is his hometown Buffalo Sabres, a young team looking to end a decade-long playoff drought. The Sabres also have over $8 million in cap space which very few teams can say they have and none of the aforementioned teams have.
Another possibility for Kane is the Edmonton Oilers who have been linked to him for over a year. If Kane were to sign in Edmonton, he would instantly become their first-line right winger and could have one of the most productive seasons of his career playing alongside
Connor McDavid.
Finally, the New York Rangers could move some pieces around and manage to keep him. While unlikely, Kane knows the Rangers personnel and if he feels they offer him a fair package, he could elect to stay in the Big Apple.
