We just got a major update on Josh Morrissey's health after he had his season ended in the playoffs.
Morrissey's Injury
During the 1st round of the 2023 playoffs, the Winnipeg Jets faced off against the Vegas Golden Knights. In game three, Josh Morrissey went down with an injury that held him out for the rest of the Jets' season.
This had Jets fans worried that Morrissey could potentially miss some of the upcoming season but a promising update could prove otherwise.
Morrissey Update
In an interview with NHL.com, Morrissey spoke about his injury.
"It was kind of a 4-6 week timeline. Obviously, it's kind of the worst time of year to get hurt. (You) play all year and compete to have that opportunity in the playoffs. But at the same time, in a way it's better that you have months to recover and you're not rushing back." - Josh Morrissey
After having the entire summer to nurse himself back to health, Morrissey now is 100% yet again.
"Been taking my time with it, really trying to do it right, using all the different modalities and things you can do. I'm 100 percent ready to go. No lingering issues at all." - Josh Morrissey
After having such a strong year with 76 points as a defenseman, Morrissey will be needed on the Jets blueline this year if they want a true chance of making a playoff run.
