The Boston Bruins are one team to keep an eye on to see if they make a movie for this forward on Atlantic rival.
Bruins to Push for Pinto?
The Boston Bruins who just lost their top 2 centers to ritemenet this summer are currently without a real quality center man to play with Marchand and Pasternak.
However there is currently a 22-year-old restricted free agent that has caught the Bruins eye, Shane Pinto. The Sens currently do not have the cap space to sign their bright young center man and may be willing to trade him.
«Ottawa wants to make the playoffs, but they're up against the cap, so we're talking high-end prospects that could crack the roster this season,» the source told BHN. «That's probably Fabian Lysell and Johnny Beecher.»
Shane Pinto is coming off his first full season in the NHL where he collected 20 goals.
The Bruins Lack of Center Depth
The Bruins went all in last season to try and get Bergeron and Krejci one last Stanley Cup before they retired. However that was not the case as they got eliminated in 7 games by the Florida Panthers.
With both of their top 6 centers retiring this summer and a failure to find replacements has left a bruins roster with Pavel Zacha and Charlie Coyle as their top 2 available centers.
Which is not ideal in todays NHL for a team trying to make a push for another Stanley Cup run. Pinto would slide in and be the best center man on this Bruins roster.
