Less than two weeks after long-time career Bruin Patrice Bergeron announced his retirement, it appears that David Krejci, who was with the captain for the majority of his career is now ready to walk away too.
According to a report on BostonHockeyNow.com, Krejci is calling it quits, but could potentially represent his homeland of Czechia in the 2024 World Championships before walking away from on ice competition entirely.
While Krejci doesn't get the headlines of Bergeron, Pastrnak, Marchand or other modern day Bruins, he was one of the most consistent players for this team over the better part of the past two decades.
He never quite elevated his game to a 30 or 40 goal scoring level, but Krejci was a measure of consistency for this team, tallying 786 points in his 1,032 games with Boston, and after he helped deliver them another Stanley Cup, he'll go down as a modern day great in Bean Town.
