In light of the recent retirement of Patrice Bergeron, the Boston Bruins are now in search of a new number 1 centreman. Recent reports have arisen that they may have their eyes on a certain star to fill that gap.

Zegras to Boston?

Recent reports have indicated that the Bruins have been taking a look at Trevor Zegras, the franchise star of the Anaheim Ducks.
Per a source close to the Ducks, the Bruins have inquired about the Ducks' willingness to move Zegras. They've also looked into 2021 3rd overall pick Mason McTavish.

Bruns and Ducks - Surprising Matches?

The Ducks are clearly very deep in the young star forward department. With the aforementioned Zegras and McTavish, along with 2022 22nd overall pick Nathan Gaucher and 2023 2nd overall pick Leo Carlsson, the Ducks have some pieces to play with.

Zegras is also in an interesting position, being an RFA and susceptible to an offer sheet. With that many young prospects, the Ducks might just be in a unique position to move their star forward for some veteran depth.
