On Thursday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs clashed against the Boston Bruins.

The Department of Player Safety announced that they're punishing Bruins' forward Charlie Coyle for an incident that occured in that game.

Spirits were high in the game. While the Bruins ended up winning 4-1, Charlie Coyle lost his temper and gave a dirty cross-check on Tyler Bertuzzi.

Now, the Department of Player Safety ruled on a $5,000 fine for Coyle:
Boston's Charlie Coyle has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for cross-checking Toronto's Tyler Bertuzzi.
