Jake DeBrusk played alongside some incredible players with the Bruins, but in his last interview in Boston, he reveals which of them intimidated him the most.

The Boston Bruins are one of the most storied franchises in NHL history, and as such, they've seen some iconic players come through, including Zdeno Chara, who is seen as one of the 21st century's most exciting and intimidating players. Now, in his last interview before leaving Boston, Jake DeBrusk has revealed that Chara was the player that most intimidated him during his time with the team.
«Super calm demeanor. Like such a nice guy and I love Z, but at the beginning, you're intimidated. You are straight up intimidated seeing Z for the first time,» DeBrusk recalled when he appeared on «The Cam & Strick Podcast» on Tuesday. «I remember the first time I saw him on the ice; it was even more intimidating. We had a one-on-one drill, and I was like, Oh my God, I don't even know how to attack this guy right now.' It's like I never seen anything like (him) at the time, but you get used to it as time goes on.»
It comes as no surprise, as the 6-foot-9 defenseman was known for his intimidation and physical play, with opponents across the NHL feeling the effects of him every time they do battle. DeBrusk would go on to note that they quickly got past this when he got comfortable at the NHL level, but this is certainly understandable for a rookie joining the NHL with such a team full of legends.
Now, the veteran winger is heading to Vancouver, where he will very likely never play with a player as physical and intimidating as Chara as he looks to chase down the first Stanley Cup of his career.
