During the Maple Leafs-Bruins crucial game five, Jack Edwards called out official Steve Kozari, and former official Tim Peel has taken exception to it.

With the game tied at one in a critical showdown, long-time Boston Bruins announcer Tim Peel called out official Steve Kozari in a bizarre moment.
"McAvoy is seeking an explanation from Steve Kozari, and Kozari is the first official to exit the ice," Edwards exclaimed. "Coward!"
It's one thing for fans to call out an official, but for Edwards to do so in the heat of the moment was dreadful, and now, former official and outspoken personality on X Tim Peel has called out the veteran announcer.
"I think Jack Edwards may be having some health issues and I sympathize with that. But calling Referee #40 Steve Kozari a coward is despicable. Kozari was carried off on a stretcher 3 weeks ago in Pittsburg in a collision with Hayden Fleury of #GoBolts Last year he fat shamed Pat Maroon. Very sad Jack!"
Peel is one of the most polarizing personalities in hockey media, but it's hard to argue with him here, as Kozari is courageous for just taking the ice after his incident, and for Edwards to call him out in that moment was absolutely ridiculous.
