The Winnipeg Jets were eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs last night by the Colorado Avalanche. After the loss star defenseman Josh Morrissey had some harsh words for his team.

Losing in the Stanley Cup Playoffs is always going to sting. This season that sting fell on to the Winnipeg Jets once again as they were eliminated from playoff contention. After the game defenseman Josh Morrissey had some candid comments regarding his team's play in the series.
They brought the Stanley Cup-winning class to this series, and we didn't return it for three or four of those games, Morrissey added. So we have levels that we need to find this offseason, and I hope it stings for all of us into the summer, and we use it as motivation.

Josh Morrissey indirectly calls out the entire organization for not doing what it took to pull out a series win over the Colorado Avalanche. As he continued to speak Josh Morrissey made sure to compliment his goalie Connor Hellebuyck for keeping them in the series.
I'm not going to put any blame on Helly, that's for sure, the blue-liner said. We wouldn't be where we're at right now if it weren't for him, the way he's played all year. Go through a lot of those goals and tell me if he could've stopped them.

Despite the frustrating end to the season Josh Morrissey knows it is all about moving forward and taking the experience and learning from it. He sounds as motivated as ever to come back next season and dominate.
Right now it's just disappointing, it's frustrating, it feels like a missed opportunity ... but the only way that there's any good from this is that we learn from it,

Hopefully for Jets fans the front office has this same mentality and re-loads this group to go for another shot at the Stanley Cup. With extensions to Connor Hellebuyck and Mark Schiefele earlier this year that seems like the most likely outcome heading into next season.
