The Calgary Flames are looking to sell some top players after a disappointing 2022-23 campaign, and now, it appears they've got plenty of suitors for one player in particular.
After another fantastic year, Hanifin heads into this season as an Unrestricted Free Agent for the summer of 2024, and unsurprisingly, this makes him a key trade piece for Calgary.
In 2022-23, Hanifin played in 81 games for the Flames, tallying 7 goals and 38 points, and after a career high 48 a season prior and being just 26-years of age, he's a very hot commodity on the trade market.
For Calgary, the best landing destination would be Buffalo due to their plethora of picks and young talent, but at this point, it appears they have no choice but to move him, meaning any of these teams could put together a solid package.
