The Calgary Flames have been on the verge of a rebuild for several seasons now and a new mock trade would send them into that rebuild giving Nazem Kadri back to Toronto.

Nazem Kadri and the Calgary Flames have struggled to stay afloat in the Western Conference. As a result, many fans are hoping for the team to blow things up and today a mock trade has accomplished just that involving Nazem Kadri.

Mock trade sends Nazem Kadri to the Maple Leafs as Flames jumpstart rebuild

This afternoon a new mock trade has surfaced online sending Nazem Kadri and a pair of draft picks to the Toronto Maple Leafs. In exchange the Calgary Flames would get a pair of veterans David Kampf and Ryan Reaves along with top prospect Nick Robertson and a 2025 2nd round pick.
Maple Leafs get:

Nazem Kadri (with $3.5 million retained)
2025 fifth-round pick
2026 sixth-round pick
Flames get:

David Kampf
Nick Robertson
Ryan Reaves
2025 second-round pick

This move for the Calgary Flames would likely be at lower value than many expect them to get for Nazem Kadri. However, due to his no-movement clause, Nazem Kadri controls much of the situation leading to limited partners. Recently a report revealed he would be willing to head back to the Colorado Avalanche.
My understanding with respect to (Kadri) is that he's willing to waive (the no-move clause) for the right situation. I think he would welcome a return to Colorado, Pagnotta said.

Nazem Kadri of course spent a long time with the Toronto Maple Leafs and found large amounts of success with the team. If they were to come calling it would likely be a destination that Nazem Kadri would give serious consideration.
With the NHL season rapidly approaching this is a move that would need to happen sooner rather than later. If it is not done before the beginning of the season then the target moves to the trade deadline.
