Patrick Kane is preparing for his highly anticipated return to Chicago.

Kane Will Have Extra Motivation Against the Blackhawks

The player who spent 16 seasons in Chicago will return at the United Center on February 25th, in what promises to be an exciting night.
"I've always carried a bit of a chip on my shoulder, so hopefully, I can tap into that on that night and put forth a strong performance to help the Wings secure a victory."

"It would be satisfying to find the back of the net or contribute a couple of points, whatever it may be, just to perform well against them."

The Blackhawks organization will aslo retire Chris Chelios' number before the game, making it even more special.
"It's going to be a blast heading back there on February 25th, with Chelios' jersey ceremony and our first road game back. It's sure to be an enjoyable evening."

Patrick Kane will forever hold a special place in the hearts of Chicago Blackhawks fans. Nevertheless, he'll carry a chip on his shoulder when the puck drops.

Kane Dissapointed that the Blackhawks Didn't Call Him Last Summer

With Connor Bedard's arrival in the organization, Kane always wondered if he was going to get the call from the Blackhawks, asking him to come back and help the young rookie develop, but it never happened.
"Yeah, I mean, I never really knew, right? Especially after that first pick, I was like, OK, maybe they'll try to bring, even like Tazer or myself back."

"I know when I was a young guy, it really helped having some older guys around like Robert Lang, (Martin) Havlat, Yanick Perrault and Patrick Lalime, guys like that. Obviously, we had some young guys coming up that were pretty special players, and that made it pretty easy on me, too. It seemed like they wanted to go in a direction where they were going to bring in some different type of veterans. Yeah, it's what it is. Good for them. You don't think about it too much."

It's evident that Kane will come in that game with a chip on his shoulder and will look to have a major impact with his team.
