Connor Bedard is continuing his historic first season by breaking another NHL record, this time coming against the Arizona Coyotes.
Bedard Becomes Youngest Player to Score in First 30 Seconds
During last night's Coyotes game, Connor Bedard potted a slick wrist shot after receiving a cross-ice pass from fellow rookie Kevin Korchinski. The goal started the night for the Blackhawks, coming within the first 30 seconds of the game.
It turns out that this goal would come with a new NHL record for Bedard to add to his resume, as it made him the youngest player to score within the first 30 seconds of an NHL game.
Connor Bedard is the youngest player in NHL history (18-105) with a goal in the first 30 seconds of a game.
Not Bedard's First Record and Won't Likely Be His Last
This isn't Bedard's first rodeo when it comes to breaking NHL records. He became the youngest player to score in two games back to-back against the previous year's Stanley Cup Champion just a few days ago when he potted his second against the Golden Knights.
Connor Bedard scored his second goal in as many meetings against the defending #StanleyCup champions a feat never before achieved by an 18-year-old.
These records aren't likely what Bedard has been dreaming of breaking. It's more probably that Bedard dreams of breaking scoring records, and even more likely that all he wants is to win a Stanley Cup. However, if the young star continues to develop the way he has, those are surely to come.
