Kyle Beach suffered at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks' video coach in 2010, and the situation has haunted the NHL ever since. After years of flying under the radar, their former head coach Joel Quenneville, and executives Stan Bowman and Al MacIsaac had their mishandling of allegations uncovered. Subsequently, the Florida Panthers head coach resigned, and he and both other parties were banned from the league.
Now, more than two years after their ban, all three parties are now reinstated by the NHL. Joel Quenneville, Stan Bowman, and Al MacIsaac will be eligible for positions in the league after July tenth.
Naturally, this has become a very divided matter in the hockey world. Many fans feel that John Quenneville did not know the extent of the issues he mishandled, while others see any reinstatement as a failure of the NHL.
