Sean Higgins was the driver who was drunk when he struck Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau, ending their lives. He's now broken his silence.

Tragedy struck last night in New Jersey, as Johnny Gaudreau, who was in town for his sister's wedding, along with his brother Matthew, were both struck while cycling by a drunk driver.
The driver, Sean Higgins, 43 years old, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and vehicular homicide. According to a report from the New York Post, Higgins had drank five or six beers before driving his car into the two brothers.
"The trooper who arrived at the scene detected a strong odor of alcohol' on his breath, according to the criminal complaint obtained by The Post.

Higgins allegedly told the trooper that he had five to six beers' before the fatal crash.

He also supposedly confessed that he believed the SUV was trying to block him from passing and that his drinking exacerbated his impatience and reckless driving.

Higgins failed a field sobriety test, troopers said."
But here comes the most shocking twist. Reportedly, Higgins reacted when he found out that he may have to stay in jail for a longer duration due to the long weekend in the US. His reaction has really infuriated many people.
Given the probable sentence that goes up to 20 years of imprisonment per charge, plus $200,000 in fines for each one, there's a high chance that Sean Higgins will be behind bars for a good 30 to 40 years. Many will be keeping a close eye on how this eventual trial unfolds.
