Despite being 26-years of age with plenty of production behind him, Patrik Laine is on the verge of being traded for a second time as the Columbus Blue Jackets look to move forward with their incredibly talented young core. The Montreal Canadiens have been linked to Laine in recent times, and now that he's been released from the NHLPA's Player Assistance Program, his market is seemingly heating up in a big way.
On the surface, it makes sense that most of the teams in the NHL would be interested in someone of Laine's talent, but with years of inconsistency, it's unclear exactly what the market for him will eventually be. With the ability to now talk to other teams, it's only a matter of time until he's officially moved, and while Colorado and Detroit make most sense of these two teams, expect much more interest to develop in the coming days and weeks.
