David Perron of the Detroit Red Wings is facing a major suspension following an incredibly dirty play last night.
Perron Facing Long-Term Suspension
Last night David Perron tried to stand up for his captain Dylan Larkin who just got knocked out. Perron went directly after Senators defenseman Artem Zub and cross-checked him in the head.
Perron wound up getting ejected for this play. It was just announced that he will have an in-person hearing with the NHL DoPS which means he could get a suspension longer than 5 games.
Detroit's David Perron has been offered an in-person hearing for cross-checking Ottawa's Artem Zub. Date and time TBD.
Could be looking at more than 5 games
Perron will have his meeting in the near future and after it happens, we will know how long he is suspended for officially.
