Edmonton Oilers Reportedly In Talks With Jaroslav Halak As Goaltending Remains an Issue

The Edmonton Oilers' biggest issue remains between the pipes, as they struggle to keep their goals-against average down. Their offence has been producing, however, they can't seem to keep the puck out of their net.
After sending Jack Campbell down to the minors, the Oilers have been faced with trying to find a replacement. Now, it appears they are looking to 17-year NHL veteran Jaroslav Halak as a potential backup, according to Pierre LeBrun.
LeBrun on Insider Trading says the Oilers have talked to Jaroslav Halak, although don't read too much into it because the Oilers have been looking into every possible goalie option out there.
Halak was recently released from his PTO with the Carolina Hurricanes, as he competed for their third-string position in the absence of Frederik Anderson. Halak played 25 games last season for the New York Rangers and recorded a 2.72 goals-against average with a .903 save percentage.
Halak released from PTO in Carolina. Could he be an option for the #Oilers?
Halak does have the experience that could be valuable to the Oilers as they try and turn the tide through choppy waters. Do you think they will sign him?
