Most crosschecks in the NHL usually end up in the opponent's chest, back, and sometimes even the face. Legs are rare, though.

A Crosscheck to the Legs May Mean Suspension for Leon Draisaitl

Last night's game between the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders was Edmonton's first with new head coach Kris Knoblauch. It's clear Oilers players are frustrated with how things went down, and Draisaitl let out that frustration on Bo Horvat, crosschecking him across the back of the legs.

A low Crosscheck May Lead to Suspension for Leon Draisaitl

Draisaitl was given a two-minute tripping penalty on the play. Despite his outburst, he scored a goal as the Oilers defeated the Islanders 4-1 in Knoblauch's debut.
