This NHL insider just revealed a crazy stat about how well Zach Hyman is playing this season, and it will blow your mind.
Hyman On Incredible Scoring Pace This Season
Zach Hyman is one of the hardest-working forwards in the NHL, taking his role as a top-6 player who grinds to get pucks to skill guys in stride. This year, however, he is being rewarded on the scoresheet. Hyman is scoring at an incredible pace, and if he keeps it up, could net over 50 goals for the Oilers, according to Chris Johnston.
Hyman has 19 goals through his first 30 games this year. His career-high scoring is 36 goals, which came last season.
Hyman Contract is a Saving Grace for Oilers
Ken Holland is facing a lot of flak for some of his signings, notably Jack Campbell. However, he definitely got a good deal on Hyman, as he is only paid a $5,500,000 AAV.
As the Oilers try to continue to turn around their season, we will see if Hyman can continue his incredible pace.
