This NHL analyst has just made some questionable comments about the Edmonton Oilers' win streak, and fans are not happy with how he has downplayed the feat.
Oilers' Win Streak Being Questioned By Media For Lack of Competition
The Edmonton Oilers have had an incredible roller coaster ride this season. From starting the year in the basement of their division and losing the majority of their games in the first few months to firing their coach, and now riding the high of a franchise record-setting win streak, the Oilers have seemingly gone through it all, and it is only the All-Star break.
Now, however, some are downplaying the Oilers' win streak, stating that the Oilers' win streak has come at the hands of some shoddy opponents.

Of the 14 teams the Oilers have faced during their win streak, it is noted only five hold a playoff position at the time of posting. Those teams are the New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers, Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs.
However, this isn't enough for the detractors, who even suggest some of the teams in playoff positions are not that good. For example the Rangers and Kings, who are just 3-5-2 and 2-5-3 respectively in their past 10 games.

Oilers Have Turned Things Around in All Weak Spots of Their Game
NHL analyst Mike Johnson believes that the Oilers have done nearly everything they have had to do in order to improve. This includes improving defensively, finding secondary scoring, improving their penalty kill, and more.
Clearly, the Oilers have a long way to go to catch the Vancouver Canucks for top of the division, however, if they keep up the play that they have shown, they may just be in contention.
