The Edmonton Oilers are heading to the Western Conference Final against the Dallas Stars, after clinching their spot with a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in Game 7 on Monday night. However, if it weren't for the incredible performance of Canucks' goalie Arturs Silovs, this game might have been over much earlier.

For the first 50 minutes, the Oilers relentlessly fired shots at the Canucks' net, with Silovs making several otherworldly saves. However, the Oilers eventually built a three-goal lead on the back of Cody Ceci, Zach Hyman, and a power play marker from Ryan Nugent Hopkins . It seemed like they were cruising, but late goals from Conor Garland and Filip Hronek turned the final minutes into a nail-biter. Still, the Oilers held on.
Now, they are just four wins away from their first Stanley Cup Finals in 18 years, and superstar Connor McDavid couldn't contain his excitement. As the final buzzer sounded, McDavid hugged his teammates and screamed in sheer joy.
McDavid then tried to do an on-ice interview with Sportsnet, but it didn't go quite as planned.
I thought we defended well. We played two really good games, backs were against the wall. Sorry about my voice here.
Shortly after, another video surfaced on social media showing exactly why McDavid's voice was shotit was all that celebratory yelling which could be heard all the way in the jubilant province next door.
