With the Stanley Cup Playoffs approaching, the last thing that the Edmonton Oilers need is an injury, and if it's Connor McDavid going down, their chances decrease drastically. On Tuesday, it was reported that McDavid missed his second straight practice, with reporters noting how uncharacteristic that is for him.
Officially, McDavid has a lower body injury and is day to day. Questionable for tmw v. VGK.

Adding to the intrigue, the Edmonton Oilers have officially called up Dylan Holloway on an emergency basis, hinting that there might be a significant development concerning McDavid. Him not playing against Vegas tomorrow becomes more plausible now.

The biggest hope for these Oilers is that it is simply a case of them being cautious with the playoffs just a few weeks away, but if it's something bigger, this entire fanbase may be collectively holding their breath. If McDavid misses time, it could mean his chances at the Hart Trophy go down the drain with both Nikita Kucherov and Nathan MacKinnon at their very best this season too, and knowing McDavid's competitiveness, he won't be missing time for no reason.
