Connor McDavid was shown in a rare backstage clip during the trailer for a new Amazon series on the NHL, and now he's reacted to the viral moment.

After success with a documentary following the Toronto Maple Leafs, Prime Video are back again for the NHL, as they dropped a trailer to Faceoff: Inside the NHL on Monday.
The trailer drew praise from around the hockey world, and should be an incredible look behind the scenes for all hockey fans, but it's one moment involving Connor McDavid that has stuck out more than others. The clip comes from after Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals, with McDavid screaming at his teammates in the locker room, and while they would go on to lose Game 3, it clearly worked, as they pushed the Florida Panthers to an all-or-nothing Game 7.
Now, the Oilers captain has officially reacted to the clip in very unsurprising fashion.
"You're going to see us at our most vulnerable," McDavid said, per Sportsnet's Mark Spector. "You can't say that we didn't let (the cameras) in. They shot things in our most intense moments, most meaningful moments.

"You know, they shot it. They may as well use it."

It's clear that while McDavid may not have been happy to see the clip surface, he knew it was a possibility at the time, and given the raw emotion surrounding the NHL and especially the Stanley Cup Finals, it's a perfect representation of the league in its most intense moments.
The new series premiers on Amazon Prime Video on October 4th, and while addressing his moment, McDavid provided fantastic promotion for what should be an amazing 6-part show.
"You're going to see hockey players, but you're going to see the human side of it. You're going to see joy on one side, and you're going to see a lot of heartbreak on one side as well."

The Oilers are looking to go one step further in 2024/25 than they did a year ago, and with the passion and intensity of their captain, along with his incredible talents and a great roster, there's a good chance that they do just that.
