The Winnipeg Jets are finalizing a deal to extend young Center Cole Perfetti to a new contract.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the Jets are signing Perfetti to a two-year, $6.5M extension, an average annual value (AAV) of $3.25M per year.
Dreger also reports in addition, Perfetti's contract will give the forward $3M in the first year of his deal, and $3.5M in year two, a short-term bridge deal. Perfetti, previously a RFA with the Jets, was under his rookie salary of $894k up until last season.
Perfetti, 22, had 19 goals and 38 points for the Jets in the 2023-24 season. He was drafted 10th overall by Winnipeg in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Perfetti has played three seasons in the NHL, all with the Winnipeg Jets. Perfetti has 29 goals, 46 assists & 75 points in 140 career games.
Internationally, Perfetti has appeared multiple times for Team Canada, winning a Gold Medal in the 2021 IIHF World Championship along with a silver in the World Junior Championship in the same year. Perfetti also won a silver in the 2019 Hlinka-Gretzky cup.
