The Edmonton Oilers are among the contenders to land Patrick Kane

The Edmonton Oilers are only one game away from making the Stanley Cup finals for the first time since 2006. This current core is quite strong and it is hard to imagine it could be much better offensively.

One player that the Oilers lost out on was Patrick Kane as they were rumored to be among the finalists to land the American winger but fell short to the Detroit Red Wings.

Recently BetMichigan revealed their odds for teams to land Patrick Kane and the Oilers were one of the eight teams in contention for Kane.

Unfortunately, among the seven teams with odds to land Kane, the Oilers have the lowest odds at only 1.1% while their conference rivals Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars both have odds near 10%.

With the offseason fast approaching, anything can happen and we could see the Oilers win the Patrick Kane sweepstakes and pair him with superstars Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
