The Edmonton Oilers have raced out to a 1-0 lead in game two of the Stanley Cup Finals, but it didn't come until after an ejection due to a brutal hit.
After a quick, physical start to game two of the Stanley Cup Finals, the Edmonton Oilers will now play the remainder of the game with one less forward in the form of Warren Foegele. Early on, Foegele put a brutal hit on Florida's Eetu Luostarinen, resulting in both men leaving the ice as Foegele was assessed a five-minute major and a game misconduct.

As of yet, there has been no update on the condition of Luostarinen, who limped off the ice following the brutal hit, but given how intentional it looked, Foegele could be facing disciplinary action before game three.

The Oilers turned the five-minute major into an advantage however, as they would take an early 1-0 lead that has held until the first intermission, but without Foegele, they may be vulnerable as this game rolls on, but only time will tell.
