After playing only seven seasons in the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers, Oscar Klefbom has shockingly announced his retirement from the game.
The Edmonton Oilers had drafted Oscar Klefbom with the 19th overall pick back at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
Oscar Klefbom has suited up in 378 games with the team, and recorded 156 points, which are very good numbers for a defenseman.
Standing at 6-foot-3, Oscar Klefbom always had a big presence on the ice that made opponents struggle to get by him. He was very physical and had a nice skating stride, with good speed.
It's no doubt that fans are shocked to hear of his sudden retirement considering he is only 31-years-old.
Fans of the Oilers will be wishing Oscar Klefbom a happy retirement and will look forward to hopefully seeing him around the game very soon again, in a different capacity.
